For the TuaRes girls to be prepared to learn, it is important that they are physically fit. At the beginning of each year, health checks, such as, eye exams are conducted. During the school year, the girls receive several sex education classes so that they can make informed decisions their bodies.

The best way to learn languages is to speak them. In our interactive English class, “English Excellence,” the participating girls learn to communicate in English in a playful way. They perform plays, sing songs and read books together.

Sponsor one year of Girls Tech for a TuaRes girl

IT skills in Burkina are in high demand in the labour market, but are not taught in schools. In our Girls Tech program, girls are often in contact with a computer for the first time. They are taught how to type and learn the common office programs and how to move responsibly and safely on the Internet.

Send a girl to primary school

With your donation we can send one TuaRes girl to school with a school kit, uniform, books, daily lunch, extra support classes and pay her school fees for an entire year. While at school she is also provided with psychosocial counseling.

With your donation we can send one TuaRes girl to school with a school kit, uniform, books, daily lunch, extra support classes and pay her school fees for an entire year. While at school she is also provided with psychosocial counseling.

Support a University Scholar

With your donation, we will be able to send a TuaRes girl to university. Each year, the best performing students apply for a university scholarship. The TuaRes team decides on the recipients based on school performance, a personal application, and an interview. The university scholars are also engaged in service activities during their sponsorship with the younger TuaRes cohorts.
